Some of you might know that the balayage coloring style was actually invented in Paris in the early 70s. That is really impressive! Can you imagine it has been 50 years already since the first balayage was done?
Through the years, there have been many adaptations and improvements, such as a foilayage, ombre balayage, balayage without bleaching, etc. But it stays true to the original essence of this coloring style, which is a natural handpainted sweeping style, like a work of art.
Having trained under heavy Japanese influence, we have our own style of balayage too.
The Japanese Balayage Style
In Japan, the coloring styles there will have distinct colors/styles according to the season. For example, autumn will have more colors like beige, orange or warm blonde. But regardless of the season, it will always retain a very natural element, something like a tad bit of messiness to compliment the natural flowy waves of the hair. You can see there is a modern sense of flamboyant yet lowkey for an everyday style.
Let’s take a look at some of our Japanese balayage styles
Notice the Japanese elements. Very pretty!
The ones below will have a wider variety of elements with the inclusion of European style, but still, a very impressive piece of balayage art.
Or if you are interested in multiple colors, such lighter 2-tone colors in balayage/ombre style can be considered too.
That’s about it! Creativity plays a big part in creating such artistic masterpieces. If you have any ideas in your mind, talk to us! We can discuss how to bring those ideas to life. Or if you have been wanting to try fancy colors, we’re always around! Haha. Will put our relevant information below. Thank you for reading, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay pretty!
